Filofax Lockwood Personal Slim Organiser

I recently came across some slimline Lockwoods in a branch of John Lewis department store. I was asked for some photos and more details from someone interested in them so I've taken the opportunity to finally update this blog. Please note photos make the planner appear slightly more blue than in reality.

The personal Lockwood has a slip pocket on the front and a zippered pocket on the back. The Slim has no zip or outer pockets. What looks like slip pockets on both front and back are actually stitched down. There is no fastener. The cover of the slim isn't as stiff as the personal size, it's more flexible. It might have thinner stiffener plus the lack of outer pockets makes it less bulky. (It wasn't as bendy as the Heritage but stiffer than a Malden)

The inside covers are the same buffalo leather as with the other sizes. The inside front has four credit card pockets and one full-length pocket. The back has one full-length pocket. The black elastic pen loop is set in on the back and covered with a leather flap.

I estimate the ring size to be 11mm or12mm. The Heritage compact I've compared it with in below photos has 16mm rings. The Lockwood is about ½ cm taller, though you can't really tell from the photo.

It didn't have a chemical smell to my nose. It was the same as the personal size I have, just a very faint leather smell.

Contents-wise it packed a lot in: 2017 international Week on 1 page diary, numbered tabbed index sheets and various papers - 6 contacts, 4 each plain, lined, quadrille and to-do - all in cotton cream. Also 4 each of pink, green and blue lined paper.

Oddly enough the Filofax UK site doesn't list it but John Lewis (UK) lists it on it's online webshop at http://www.johnlewis.com/  in aqua, navy, cognac and crimson (red). They ship internationally.
Update: Colemans also sell it via their website: https://www.colemans-online.co.uk/  Colemans also has them in pocket size.

Although I really like the Lockwood personal slim and was very tempted, I ended up with the Heritage compact. With the aqua maldens I already have it was time for something else.
